EZ 3-D Photo
In one quick swipe of your iPhone, EZ 3-D Photo takes a three-dimensional picture without the hassle of other apps. 3-D photos are stored in the device's photo library where they can be viewed using cardboard or other 3-D VR viewers.
Seeing 3-DWith the recent popularity of 3D viewers for gaming and other applications one assumes such devices are essential for viewing 3-D media. As it turns out, with a little training anybody can see 3-D without viewers, glasses, or other devices. Let's start by viewing the photo below in 3-D.
Hold your mobile device at arm’s length and look over the top of the screen at a distant object. Without lowering your gaze notice the two images now seem to overlap to form a third image between them. Keeping your eyes relaxed and focused in the distance, shift your attention (but not your eyes) to that third, middle image. When the correct gaze is achieved the horizontal and vertical bars will overlap to form a "+" sign and the image appear three-dimensional.
Capturing 3-D Photos
Press the camera icon to start the capture process. The camera beeps four times before taking the picture. During this time move the camera smoothly left to right, or right to left. Time the sweep so the subject of the photograph is in the center of the view at the time of the fourth beep. Press the camera button again to save and/or continue on to the next photo.
The faster you move the camera, the greater the 3-D depth. You can also increase the depth by pressing on the screen to reveal a frame delay icon. Tapping it increases/decreases the frame delay, which increases/decreases the amount of parallax (depth).
As shown below, the 3-D camera can capture photos in portrait as well as landscape mode,
using either the front or back camera.
